To rest, relax & restore is essential to everyone, especially at times when anxiety & stress levels are high. Deep rest is to experience absolute relaxation, where there is effortless inner stillness, quietness & peace. Restorative Yoga, teaches the art of resting with awareness by supporting the body so you can hold poses for longer & allow the body to open with passive stretching. When we rest with awareness, we can often notice physical & mental areas of tension that we were unaware of before. As a consequence we can adjust, release & reset to benefit mind & body. Measurable results of deep relaxation include the reduction of blood pressure, the increase of the “good cholesterol” levels, improvements in digestion, insomnia, stress & depression & the reduction of muscle tension. This workshop will teach you breathing practices & poses to find deep rest.

Reiki is a hands-on healing system deeply rooted in eastern traditions. Healing energy is transmitted through the palms of the hands to facilitate balance in the body & mind. Whether you want to boost your energy levels, calm your system, have a better nights sleep or provide healing for someone else, Reiki can become an important part of your day. On this workshop Helen will look at the history & theory of Reiki & you will learn a short & simple Reiki routine that you can use on yourself or on family & friends.
